Quick trip to Pittsburgh then home and to the ER

We are sitting in our local ER.... We just got home from Pittsburgh 2 hrs ago.... In a way this is a good problem. He and his brothers had a scuffle and wrestling led to pulling out the whole 45 cm of gJ tube. As a friend said, glad he felt good enough to wrestle with his brothers! Just minutes after I yelled up stairs to a type down Luke is at the top of the steps with his GJ tube in his hand saying "we have a problem."
Headed into the ER..
Driving home the trees were beautiful.. I'm sure these pictures are no where close to reality.

Luke was having bad belly issues on our drive home. We were half way home in the middle of the state. He was begging me to take him back to Pitt. We stopped at. Rest stop and I drained a lot from his belly , had him go to the bathroom, and just sat and walked around a bit. He seemed a little better so we headed back home.
I was very glad to find. Healthy food snack line at this rest stop.

Yesterday we headed out to Pittsburgh for his upper endoscopy. The surgeon felt it was important to do before making a decision on doing his third fundoplication or note. No room at RMH so we stayed in a hotel and headed out to the hospital early in the AM.

This is Luke in tH PACU after his procedure... Sometimes he wakes up Angry Luke and this was one of those days. His endoscopy looked fine but his GJ tube was coiled in his stomach (so the part that was supposed to be in his intestine was all back into his stomach). It took them some work but they got it back in proper place (well until this evening when it was pulled out).

A night with mommy at the hotel

Glens parents are out from CA. We always have fun doing special things with them. This time we took two field trips beyond the normal of soccer practice, mountain biking, playing outside, walks, and other fun. We went to the Turkey Experience near Lancaster. The kids loved it.  We did the make your own ice cream flavor which was a big hit. But I have to say we all walked out never wanting anymore ice cream (it was short lived about 24 hrs). While there you can eat as much ice cream as you want.

In the ice cream lab

The other trip we took was to the Camden adventure aquarium. The biggest hit was the hippos. And as kids will be kids, the highlight was watching them eat and watching one poop.

More fun at the Stingray tank. I loved that they had a toddler sting Ray area for the littlest kids to touch them. Some of the kids fed the stingrays. Kyara is below laughing so hard because one sting Ray came up and totally splashed us all.. makayla was soaked!

Makayla is enjoying the big girl.. here helping with Elijahs bath.

Gym time at home..  one day we had a big kickball game.. I realized how old I am that day!

So now we sit in the DR. Got here at 10. They won't have the Intervential Radiology room open until 1am due to an emergency. I guess what is one more sleepless night in the DR! It could be worse.. We could Ned a 6 hr ambulance ride across the state. I am just praying a lot he doesn't pick up enterovirus or flu while we are here (or anything else!).

Please forgive the typos.. this update is being done on my phone (which is also why it is in a weird order).
